Lexmark Z 32 Printer Ink - Makes for An Excellent Printer

December 31st, 2009

Simplistic in design and function, this is typified in the Lexmark z32 inkjet printer by the presence of a control panel made up of just 2 buttons, and 2 LED lights. Respectively, these are for power and paper feed notification. The simplicity of the printer continues down to its small dimensions. Clearly a sign of the times from whence it heralds, this isn’t a show stopping piece of kit, but then, it never claimed to be.

As with all things Lexmark, the Lexmark z32 is nice and simple to plug in and play - as it were. No more than simply plugging the appropriate cables into their respective ports, and installing to the computer, things should be good to go as quickly as ten or fifteen minutes from taking it out of the box. There may be a slight delay in downloading drivers of course, though these are quite easy to find through your favorite search engine.

The basic paper tray, which cannot be added to, has a small capacity of just 100 sheets. However, it can handle many different types of media including photographic paper and transparencies. The tray, whilst basic, is more than adequate and complete with an automatic envelope feeder. It also benefits from Lexmark’s Drop & Go paper loading system.

The speed of printing is limited to a maximum of 7 pages per minute (ppm) when printing in black and white. The color equivalent allows just half this amount. However, speed can be increased through the lower settings for draft work and the like. Quality reduces, but only to a minimum of 600×600dpi, from the maximum of 1200×1200.

Conversely to other printers in the range, (most noticeably its stable mate the Z31), connectivity options include USB connection. Vastly preferred by most home users these days, this is a welcome addition to the parallel port connection that is also offered. Another feather in the cap of the Lexmark z32 is its compatibility options for both Mac and Windows users. Again, rare in such a small unit.

The Lexmark z32, whilst a little aged, is far from being Ben Stiller’s next screen companion. This is particularly typified by the inclusion of the aforementioned Drop & Go tech and Lexmark’s Accu-Feed paper feeding system, which considerably limits the number of paper jams.

Being such a small machine, the Lexmark z32 is also great for the pocket. One of the more economical printers of its age, the running cost is small - which is great these days.

Whilst cheaper options are available, it is always advisable to install the manufacturer’s official toners. And, sticking to the theme of user friendly function, replacing the Lexmark Z 32 Ink couldn’t be easier: Just lift the front, whip out the old carts, and replace with the new Printer ink. A great printer for many of the basics, if your kids are hassling you for a printer of their own, the Lexmark z32 could be the answer. Lexmark Printer ink Cartridge is trusted worldwide.
